Patrick Hugh Scanlon Jr., MD, is a board-certified general surgeon at FMOL Health | St. Dominic. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed his general surgery residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as chief resident. 

Dr. Scanlon brings more than 25 years of experience in general, laparoscopic and thoracic surgery. Throughout his career, he has also held several leadership positions at St. Dominic, including Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Chief of the Department of Surgery and Medical Director of the St. Dominic Ambulatory Surgery Center.
