Misty Gaines, NP, is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has practiced with St. Dominic’s Neurosurgery Associates since 2015. Misty began her nursing career over 10 years ago at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. During her tenure, she was a DAISY Foundation award recipient. This award recognizes those engaged in exceptional compassionate care. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2009 from UMMC, where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and was selected as Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. After approximately 6 years of practice as a registered nurse, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing at UMMC in 2015. Misty and her husband Michael reside in Madison with their three children. They attend Broadmoor Baptist Church. During her spare time, Misty enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching movies and cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels!
