About Melanie Pitts Coker

About The Provider

Melanie Coker, NP, RNFA, has been at St. Dominic’s Gynecologic Oncology since 2014. Melanie is experienced in urological surgery, ENT and the emergency room and utilizes her background with her close partners, Christy Haygood, MD and Paul Seago, MD. Melanie attended Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS where she received an Associates of Science in Nursing in 1998. She continued her education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center receiving a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2000. Melanie decided to further pursue her nursing interest and completed her Masters of Science of Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioners in 2005. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds a certificate in RN First Assist. Melanie is a native of Copiah County and is the mother of two beautiful daughters. She enjoys gardening, beach trips and spending time with her family.
