About The Provider
Following his completion of a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Theodoro obtained a Master of Business Administration at Jack Welch Management Institute-Strayer University and received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Theodoro completed his General Surgery residency from Barnes Hospital at Washington University and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he received the Lenard Perloff Chief of Resident Teaching Award, which is the most prestigious and coveted award available.
As Dr. Theodoro’s passion for medicine continued it led him to his Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic where he received the top-ranking fellow traveling award. During his first 10 years in practice in the St. Louis metro area he led the growth of the largest private practice of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery in the state of Missouri. During this time, Dr. Theodoro and his team developed the largest minimally invasive cardiac valve program in the region which included the only intra-cardiac robotic platform in the state of Missouri.
He has served has President and Chairman of the SSM Health-sponsored Clinical Integrated Network (CIN) and Chairman of the Gateway Quality Physicians Alliance (GQPA).
With 23 years of clinical and leadership expertise, Dr. Theodoro continues strategic research and development to implement innovative technologies to continue to improve the health of his patients.

Dr. Theodoro is very knowledgeable. He will take time to answer all questions/concerns even in layman terms if necessary. He was emphatic about my surgery outcome.
